Recent Presidents Have Held Meetings And Small Dinner Parties There. It Has Been Decorated With Bold Red Colors Since 1845, During The Presidency Of James K. Polk. The Red Room Is Currently Furnished In The American Empire Style Of The Early Nineteenth Century.
